Monday, November 3, 2008 - USA DANCE officially announces on behalf of USA Dance National Champions and IDSF World Championship representatives Pasha Pashkov and Inna Brayer of NYC their decision to end their DanceSport partnership, having reached all of the important goals that they had set for their partnership.
Pasha and Inna are the current United States Amateur Ten Dance Champions. See their results page
The USA Dance National DanceSport Championship in Baltimore marked the last competitive event for this highly successful USA Dance partnership -- a partnership that has inspired so many DanceSport athletes and dance enthusiasts around the country and at world championships.
During their 5 1/2-year partnership, Pasha and Inna have been exemplary role models to so many of America's up and coming young dancers. Both dancers plan to continue their dance careers and, in the near future, will have announcements regarding their specific plans.
"Pasha and Inna are among DanceSport's elite ambassadors, and our dance world is a finer place because of their rare talent, their tireless dedication and sacrifice to become the best, and, most importantly, their willingness to make a difference in the lives of others. We wish them great success as they expand their careers and ultimately return to the competitive dance floor. We look forward to our continuing relationship with both of them" stated Angela Prince, Director of Public Relations, USA DANCE.
Special Note from Pasha and Inna:
"Our decision was made with our best interests at heart. We have always been and remain the best of friends. To all of the people who have been there for us through every step of our career, believing in us and truly supporting us, we give our heartfelt appreciation and love. They are the reasons we were able to be strong and successful. There aren't enough words to actually thank everyone properly. Special thanks go to our main coaches Taliat and Marina Tasinov and Erminio Stefano for the special role and influence they have had on our lives and our careers. We thank them for believing in us and giving us the opportunity to do our best. They will always be a great impact on us going forward.
We also want to express our heartfelt appreciation for the influence and guidance of Marianne Nicole, Paul Holmes, Linda Dean, Rufus Dustin, Gary McDonald, Luana Conte and Giampiero Giannico. And, also for our sponsors Rest from Russia, aka Elegance from England."
