Opera troubles

 I'm using Opera v8 beta. This is the second forum I'm having problems with of 5 (and the other one is only a minor thing). When I sign in I get access denied and that the server is not able to perform that operation. Then when I go to the forums I am not any longer logged in. I go on other parts of the sites and on some of them I get logged out but I'm still logged in if I go fx. to the main site. I tested this all with Firefox and I noticed this cool toolbar above the post which I cannot see in Opera. This really looks great and it would be cool to browse the forums with Opera so I don't have to always open Firefox only for this (everything else is compatible with the new Opera that I can see). I haven't changed any preferences except visual ones so it shouldn't be that..

We will test our site with Opera 8, but we cannot promise any improvements until release version. Beta sometimes uses non standard approach.

Main cause for such problems would be of course completely blocked cookies, but I guess you have already checked that.

 I'm not an expert in this but I have cookies enabled and it works with all other sites up till now. Thanks.

Lalli-Oni,

 

One thing you can do is check at www.communityserver.org if that is working correctly for you (our implementation is based on that).

 

You have to know however that in our case cookie implementation may be slightly more complicated since we need to use cookies valid for the whole subdomain (e.g. anything beneath dancesportinfo.com including is.dancesportinfo.com, www.dancesportinfo.com etc,etc) because of the multiple language implementation. Your beta opera may not handle these type of cookies very well - this is not easy to find as not many sites are using this.
