does anyone know any good stretches to really get the back stretched nicely?...also to get the arms further behind the head?

 I am sorry to ask instead of responding, but... why would you want to get your arms behind the head? As a basic principle your elbows should never go behind the shoulder line...

perhaps i worded it wrong. but it looks much nicer for a lady when she puts her arm up (in a line) when the arm goes behind the ear.

 If you are looking for this sexy-lady look when putting up one arm, just turn your head to the other direction and your arm will look like it is behind your ears, but you will not have to twist your arms out to do that.

I think there is a difference between effect and the way you achieve that effect.

Otherwise you would be breaking several mechanical dancing principles which are based on how your body is generally built. I don't really think that you will find any top level dancer having their arms (specifically, their elbows) behind their shoulder/back line.

Stretching is not a bad thing, though, but be careful what you are trying to achieve not to damage anything in your body.
